This is how I start most mornings!

Makes 2 servings.

2 cups filtered water
1 cup organic old-fashioned oats or steel cut oats
1/4 cup raisins
2 T ground flax seeds
1/4 cup dried cranberries
handful of frozen organic blueberries, thawed (or fresh)
1/2 organic apple, diced
1 T hemp seeds
cinnamon


Mix water, oatmeal and raisins. Bring to a boil, then simmer on low. While simmering add the ground flax and dried cranberries. When smooth and creamy (just takes a few minutes), pour into bowls, add the blueberries, apple, hemp seeds, and cinnamon. Top with your favorite non-dairy milk for a smooth consistency.

This is a great way to start your day - full of fiber, naturally sweetened, with a good dose of antioxidants.
